Thematic Quarter 4: Highschool Day

Every year, High School Day at Ilocos Sur National High School is something we all look forward to. It is that one time when classes stop and the whole school turns into a busy, happy place. Students from Grade 7 to Grade 11 forget about quizzes and homework for a while and focus on practicing their dances. You can see groups everywhere fixing their costumes and putting together big, colorful props. Everyone is excited, and you can feel the energy building up days before the actual event.

The best part of the celebration is the field demonstration. This is where all the hard work shows. Each grade level performs their own dance on the field, and it is always amazing to watch. But what makes it really special is how they use their props. One group might have hundreds of fans opening and closing at the same time. Another might carry big paper creations that move around the field. It becomes a story that everyone can enjoy.

For us students, High School Day is more than just a performance. It is about working together and having fun with classmates. Everyone lends a hand in carrying and fixing the props. When the music plays and we all move as one. And when it ends and people clap and cheer, you feel proud because you did it together.
