My Dream, My Future

I'm not sure what I want to be for now, and honestly, that scares me a little. Everyone keeps asking me what I'm going to do with my life, and I wish I had a clear answer to give them. But if I'm being real with myself, there is one thing that keeps pulling me back. I love being in the kitchen. I love the smell of onions cooking in butter, the feeling of mixing dough with my hands, and the way food can make people smile.

I want to be a chef because it just feels right. It's not about being famous or having some fancy restaurant. It's about doing something that keeps my hands busy and my heart full. A chef gets to create things, work hard with a team, and at the end of the night, see people happy because of something you made
Someday, I dream of having my own little place. Where people feel welcome the second they walk in. I want to build something that brings people together, whether it's a family celebrating or someone just needing a good meal after a long day. I know I'm still figuring things out, and that's okay. But for the first time, I feel like I'm heading somewhere. My future might not be crystal clear, but I can smell it cooking, and it smells like hope.

National Women's Month Celebration

Women's Month is an annual celebration dedicated to honoring the contributions, achievements, and resilience of women throughout history and across the globe. Observed every March, it serves as a powerful reminder of the vital role women have played in shaping societies-from leading social justice movements and advancing scientific discovery to enriching culture and strengthening economies. The month provides a dedicated time to reflect on the progress made toward gender equality and to recognize the pioneering women who broke barriers to create opportunities for future generations.

Beyond celebration, Women's Month is also a crucial period for raising awareness about the ongoing challenges that women continue to face. Issues such as gender-based violence, workplace discrimination, unequal pay, and limited access to education and healthcare remain pressing concerns in many parts of the world. By highlighting these realities, the month encourages meaningful conversations and collective action aimed at dismantling systemic barriers. It calls upon individuals, communities, and institutions to not only acknowledge these problems but to actively work toward creating a more just and equitable society for all.

Ultimately, Women's Month is about empowerment and looking forward. It is a time to amplify women's voices, celebrate their diverse experiences, and inspire the next generation of leaders. By showcasing stories of strength, courage, and achievement, we provide young women and girls with role models who demonstrate that their dreams are valid and attainable. As we honor the past and address the present, we invest in a future where every woman and girl can live freely, lead confidently, and reach her full potential without limitations.

4th Quarter Reflection

My primary discovery is that the choice between a T-test and a Z-test isn't random; it's dictated by the story your data tells. I learned that both are parametric tests used to compare means, but their application hinges on specific conditions.

My biggest challenge was looking at a research problem and correctly identifying which specific test to use. I often got confused about whether the scenario called for a Z-test, an independent T-test, or a paired T-test. For example, distinguishing between comparing the means of two separate groups versus the same group at two different times was tricky.

Focusing on Examples: Instead of just memorizing formulas, I focused on analyzing solved examples and case studies. By seeing how the tests were applied in specific research contexts (e.g., medicine, business, psychology), I was able to better understand the connection between the statistical theory and the practical problem.

Moving On I will apply this lesson in future research, maybe in higher grade levels, by using T-test and Z-test to analyze and compare data accurately in my own studies.

Thematic Quarter 4: Highschool Day

Every year, High School Day at Ilocos Sur National High School is something we all look forward to. It is that one time when classes stop and the whole school turns into a busy, happy place. Students from Grade 7 to Grade 11 forget about quizzes and homework for a while and focus on practicing their dances. You can see groups everywhere fixing their costumes and putting together big, colorful props. Everyone is excited, and you can feel the energy building up days before the actual event.

The best part of the celebration is the field demonstration. This is where all the hard work shows. Each grade level performs their own dance on the field, and it is always amazing to watch. But what makes it really special is how they use their props. One group might have hundreds of fans opening and closing at the same time. Another might carry big paper creations that move around the field. It becomes a story that everyone can enjoy.

For us students, High School Day is more than just a performance. It is about working together and having fun with classmates. Everyone lends a hand in carrying and fixing the props. When the music plays and we all move as one. And when it ends and people clap and cheer, you feel proud because you did it together.
